ALGHERO SAILING SCHOOL | TUTORIAL | POINTS OF INTEREST
Snorkeling is one of the simplest and most enjoyable water activities you can do on a beach vacation.
Let's start immediately with a clarification Snorkeling is not scuba diving.
They are in fact two different practices. The first is characterized, as the name suggests, by the use of the snorkel, in English precisely Snorkel.
Having to use the snorkel requires you to breathe at sea surface level, which is why snorkeling requires a swim or, at most, a sea dive at a depth ranging from 0 to 5 meters.
It is therefore not a question of diving to great depths, but rather of an exploratory walk to discover the lowest seabed.
During our snorkeling excursion you will be able to admire the magnificent seabed of the Gulf of Alghero: from Punta Giglio with its numerous caves, to the rock of Sant'Elmo, the Foradada with its characteristic "foro", Cala Inferno, Isola Piana and the entire Bay of Porto Conte.

Treat yourself to a fantastic snorkeling dive in the crystal clear waters of the Capo Caccia and Isola Piana Marine Protected Area.
An expert snorkelling guide will take you on a fantastic tour of the seabed, taking you to the best dive sites in the Gulf of Alghero, reachable only by sea.
You will be able to admire, in their natural environment, numerous species of fish and crustaceans and the particular overhanging seabed, with the numerous caves, which characterize the cliffs of the Porto Conte park.
The snorkelling excursion will begin with a series of introductory explanations on the marine territory of Alghero. We will continue the tour aboard a dinghy where we will put at your disposal, included in the cost of the excursion: mask, snorkel and fins.
The departure is scheduled around 11:30 in the morning, with return to port around 15:30. For those who wish, there are also available, as optional extras, an underwater action camera to be able to immortalize the seabed, and a diving suit.
We advise you to bring sunscreen, a beach towel, water, fresh water if possible, and some snacks. For each excursion there is a minimum number of 4 participants and, given its simplicity and safety, it is also open to children, provided that they know how to swim independently.
You will live an unforgettable experience, in a unique atmosphere offered by a spectacular marine environment.
Alghero and its seabed are certainly one of the best places in Sardinia for snorkelling. Its depths are considered a true paradise for diving enthusiasts.
